The ignorant will always outnumber the intellectuals, the important thing is to raise the base level of both. If the ignorant of the future are as intelligent as the intellectuals of the present, we're doing something right.

I don't hate murderers. I don't hate terrorists. I don't hate practically anyone. However, I do hate anyone who says our actions in the present don't matter because their God is going to end the world eventually. Such l threaten more than just the 7 billion people alive today.

Human need to know is bigger than our need to it, because we are curiosity, unespected, and much more bigger that just another race, but it looks like, unfortunately, our need to competition, like wars or even space race, it´s what make us move every day, and that, makes me sad.

ps: i´m not english, so, first i hope you understand this text, second, i hope there isn´t any mistake, and third, I hope you agree with me, if you do, please leve a like in this comment

Like in Star Trek. What was the reason for the countries of Earth progress and unite under one banner, finally TRULY cooperating as United Earth (and later the Federation)? It was World War III, a conflict that killed roughly 600 million people. Horrifying, but the result? Humanity worked together and reached for the stars, not in the name of profit, but in the name of progress and discovery.

I'm with you on that one, even though I don't want to be.

Progress during the Cold War was made because of ongoing fringe conflicts with the soviet union. Quite publicly so. I have little doubt that we would have even gone to the moon if not for conflict between America and the Soviet Union. Conflict is how we improve ourselves and with our extremely large societies War is the natural extension of the conflict we've been waging since we were prokaryotes in the primordial soup. It is in that context of natural progression that i call war beautifull.

I want to see the renewable energy budgets as per capita. I think the fact that Australia's population is 14 times less than the USA should be reflected so that it doesn't look like we don't do anything.
