Kenny was the best. He had a way of playing ''raw" that no one else could come close to. R.I.P.
I love Mobley, too. He's my favorite tenor. R.I.P., too, brother.

Opino lo mismo de echo me preguntaba por que no suena el nombre tanto, como coltrane o miles lo entiendo que no suene tanto por sus inovaciones en el jazz sin embargo, es uno de mis trompestistas favoritos.

Wow! Kenny Dorham is such a soulful soloist. Sometimes he holds back, but when he finds his way he''s Commander-in-Chief and blows the roof off the sucker. Imagine his responsibilities when Clifford Brown died and Kenny had to take over the chair in Monk's band. Kenny rocked the house when he played with Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers. The 1960's were fertile ground for Modern Jazz. It's such a drag Dorham died so young, but at least we have a huge recorded library of his work to learn from.

After Clifford, KD is one of the Big Cats ever! By the way....what is the name of the tune? Thanks for the video!

The musician synonymous with "underrated," according to one critic. How sad, how true. I respect Diz, but after Clifford I love K.D.
