That's my father's voice. He also did the news there. He was the voice of WLFL 22 for a very long time. Thanks for posting this :-)

I too also grew up with this ID when I was in elementary school in Durham, NC "gsnman." And yes it is definately a tresured find. We don't see stuff like this anymore...which is sad and pathetic. I wish they would go back to this LOGO ID. I love and cherish this ID better than the new "CW 22" one. CW & b4 that the WB suxd big time. Nothing can ever compare to our beloved (former analog) tv channel WLFL FOX 22. Much love to my FOX 22 luvrz. Go 2 "wnyet1987" channel 2 C more "WLFL FOX 22" stuff!

Can you post an updated video with better quality? Amazing to see these old videos.

@martiesirois: Must've been quite fun for ya ;-).

I remember I used to record episodes of Robotech on WLFL and watch them when I came home from school everyday.
I also recorded "The Wraith" with Charlie Sheen from this channel. Found the tape mixed in with some old stuff I had saved about a year ago.

I remember when WKBF (Channel 61) in Cleveland (as a Kaiser Broadcasting concern) gave back their license (and broadcasting company) to the FCC.. Looks like the same thing.

The Rape with charlie sheen?

Yeah WLFL had all the best cartoons.
I also have the 2011 WLFL TV Sign Off. It sucks compared to this one and the one from 1999-2001!

@ZackT618 Yeah! I haven't seen those clips but I would imagine the same. Sign-Offs and idents in the 1980s and prior had very innocent, very mesmerizing designs, aspects and qualities that were lost in the 1990s onward. It's sad because sign-offs nowadays typically remind us of what we'll forever miss from the 1980s. Oh those were the days!!! I'd do anything to time travel back to the 1980s. It's unfortunate that there are people that take such things for granted. A real shame!!!
