Debbie Dotson with the Dotson Sisters perform Nosferatu, The Undead, a song by Peter Dizozza written for Edward Downes following his Wagner lecture in 1979. Video by Vinnie Rokus. Inspired by the Wilhemena seaside scene in F.W. Murnau's Nosferatu.
Peter, I remember this exciting music clear as a beel and it is as thrilling now as when I first heard it over 30 years ago. Like the vampire thirsting for blood, I want MORE! Who among us who witnessed her talent could forget the incomparable Debbie Dotson! Her future seemed earmarked for greatness. I certainly remember Diedre, her sister and critic, but had no idea there was a third sorority member. If anyone has contact, send out the surrender flag, we need to find La Dotson. Thanks.
