  • when underclocking, what speeds do you recommend not going below? Also..do I understand correctly that conservative starts out at your minimum speed and then gets higher from there only when it senses it needs to increase CPU speed? And it wont get to the the highest speed unless it *really* needs to? Finally, without "underclocking" is the phones CPU running at a constant rate (always running at "performance")?

  • @docforven It depends on what kind of phone you have for under clocking. I usually like to set it at 200 MHz but I've seen people use 100 MHz. Conservative just scales up as the workload on the processor increases. And as far as your last question, no it won't always run at performance. It scales up and down similarly to ondemand/conservative, but it's different with each phone/manufacturer. I can't say which is better for sure, however I feel like custom settings give me better performance/bat.

  • just asking but would putting my phone on performance be bad since you said most people use conservative

  • @TheFreshCereal It isn't necessarily a bad thing, it will just eat up your battery life because performance will have your phone running at the highest set frequency all the time. I usually use performance when I know I'm going to be using the phone for a while and want it to "perform" at its best. Then I go back to conservative or ondemand. Use all the ones you have available (it may be more or less than the ones in this video) to see which one works best for you.

  • @PhoneBuff ok i put it on performance and everything and set the screen off setting but when i put it to charge it goes to the quietly brilliant loading screen thing then it goes away and repeats it and keeps doing it .... please help!!!

  • @TheFreshCereal That is strange. Maybe your minimum clock speed is set too low? Try raising it a bit and see if that helps.

  • Is your a Vibrant 3g? If so how did you get it to get to 1200hz? my only go up to 1000hz.

  • Hey, I uninstalled the app for my reasons but does the settings go to default when i uninstall or does it keep the crazy settings that i got when i got set cpu ? I have htc sensation 4g and i was dumb and overclocked it to 1,7 MHz max and Min 1,7.

So does my phone cpu go to default when uninstalling ?

  • @PhoneBuff thanx
