Invest in yourself and your family by strengthening their spirits for Christ in order to break strongholds of Satan in order to have a "heart of gold", in order to resist the mark of the beast. @BrownEagle7 I'm speaking from an investing viewpoint not a spiritual one. I am a Christian and do believe in God and I believe that Jesus is returning soon. I don't live to invest in the stock market. I do it for fun and for profit but whether the market goes up or down does not make me lose sleep. And ... I've never claimed to be right - just giving my opinion, that's all. God bless.

@MirageScience I see your point but what if the Gov decides to slap a 50% tax for holding it? What if like FDR, the Gov decides to force everyone holding gold to sell back to the gov? If the dollar collapses and we have a new currency, how will your gold be converted to the new currency and how much buying power will that convert to? Just curious. I agree that the dollar will collapse but I think we're all screwed regardless of whether we hold gold or not.
