Report on my experiment with a formula found on Internet. Common and safe material, but result not too good for me, maybe you have better luck. Recipe: 1/2 cup hot water, 1/4 cup Epsom Salt (magnesium sulfate).

I saw some epsom salt crystal on internet, they are rather poor, short spikes or just little specks. Nature of ingredient?

@saraniyo I wonder if others have better success with this formula? I'd like to invite all to share your experiences.

You should try copper sulphate next time. It makes much larger/nicer crystal formations.

@trueblu8 Thanks. I somewhat lost interest in crystal growing now, but I'll remember your advice when I feel like trying it again.
Epsom Salt doesn't grow good crystals, but it's inexpensive and non toxic, good project for young children.
