Jan Hammer.. i like what i'm hearing. Got any more names you'd like to drop?

@zenmachinefilms Actually, I find it to be just the opposite. Todays music is EASY to recreate. With Techno Ejay I can make a song in 5 minutes. With Auto Tunes I can sound like every singer out today. With American Idol it's EASY to stand out as "more of the same". These old school people like Constance (or Vangelis or Jan Hammer or...etc.) ACTUALLY used keyboards. Now it's all computers and key strokes :( I'll take Constance any day.

@zenmachinefilms pedestrian? Phenomenal is a better word...as you say 20 years later...I would want to see something better than this?.....Provide it , please.....

Let's go through the stargate together! I already went through the stargate once and came back...Maybe more of us have had this experience, but are reluctunt to talk about it..........

@FractalZero - A little of both. I think my tastes for this type of music are different to begin with. But I also found that people that create this type of music in the last several years do so on better gear, with greater productions. No slight to Constance on that - what she accomplished was very impressive. One could argue also that her sound has been imitated by so many other people that the original (this album for example) sounds old. Again, not her fault. Flattery actually.

What you hear when you enter Heaven itself.

To be played at my funeral.
I remember when this came out and I thought it was the most glorious, fantastic album I had heard in years.
Now, some 20 years later, it sounds nice, but rather pedestrian.

@zenmachinefilms
Have you discovered better music (of this type) or have your tastes/opinions simply changed?
