BART - Bay Area Transit - plays a center stage as the film documents how commuters and performers interact and change the space of public transit.

  • This was an amazing video; I'm surprised it doesn't have more views/comments. I don't think I've met any of the performers you've interviewed, but I've only ever jammed around Haight-Ashbury, never on/near BART. Was this for a class or something?

  • Thank you so much. This video was for into to documentary film class/ethnographic film class at UC Berkeley.

  • Awesome job. Sorry I didn't see this when you first sent it to me, I apparently stink at checking messages on Youtube lol

  • Haha, delayed response? (10 months). I had almost forgotten about this video. It's still really cool though. There's something about street performance I can't put my finger on, but I don't think I'd ever be able to survive without it.

  • if u hate bart and all bart-related things why do u work for bart?

  • Noise pollution; tax free income. The black man dressed in white with the white dreads is LOUD and has an un-natural interest in female children. Couldn't you find any musicians whith talent? Why didn't you film any of them fighting over their "space"? It can get real ugly at Powell St.

    Great film making though.
