Most of our elected officials are on the take, so TAKE away their health care bennies and let them buy it themselves(without the American public footing the majority of the bill). That's right, they will just vote themselves a pay increase to cover it).

Bernie is correct, we need campaign reform. Health care corps. spent tens of millions in the last few months in lobbying efforts to maintain the present racket. Looks like it worked.Hang a red light out side of the capitol and be done with it.

As to "i think the laws ought to be changed so that small business owners like yourself can pool resources to get a much better rate" or a "co-op" remarks: Organizations such as NASE* are not operating illegally therefore "laws ought to be changed" is not required and as mmm413 presumes, they haven't the clout to compete with the insurance / hospital / pharmaceutical cartel.

mmm413, as a self-employed person and one that knows many that don't receive healthcare benefits, I didn't "assume" anything. I was giving a very brief synopsis of President Obama's statement during his recent Healthcare Town Hall in regards to taxing healthcare benefits received through employment and that it would not affect the average worker.
