This Bedford S Domestic Fire Engine was one of a number of other appliances that served with the RAF in Malta. Other vehicles included Thornycroft Nubian DP3's , Sun MK 5's , DP1's DP2's and Mk7's.
This particular appliance was on the scene of the tragic Avro Vulcan crash in Zabbar on the 14th of October 1975. It is based on a Bedford chassis with Miles bodywork. Built in circa 1956, it is one of a batch of 80. Presumably there are very few, if any, other survivors.
Hi mate, what is a mark 8? thanks :)
