Flying over Sahil Region (Berbera City), Somaliland 2010

Here i am flying over the Sahil State in the Northwestern Coast of Somaliland, formerly known as Waqooyi Galbeed State. You can see the ancient city of Berbera as well; which is the capital city of Sahil region.

This is our first stop in Somalia from Dubai City, May 2010. En-route to Boosaaso City, which is on the Bari Coast of Puntland, Somalia. We then change planes in Boosaaso, and head to our final destination: Northern Gaalkacyo city in Central Somalia area of Puntland.

Most flights from Dubai to Somalia usually make 1 or 2 stops within Somalia before reaching final destination.

**Somaliland is a region in the Northwestern section of Somalia, it aims to breakaway from Somalia, but at least 50% of Somaliland(i.e. Sanaag, Sool, Awdal & Cayn) refuse the idea of breaking away from Somalia, and due to that it's unlikely they will separate, but rather they will be a State within a Federal System of Somalia.
