a synaesthetic correlation between pitch and color.
a specific color linked to a specific note pitched over several octaves across a keyboard.
loosely based on Scriabins theory that each note in the octave can be associated with a specific color.

  • i like it. I don't know much about the Scriabins theory (and don't have time to look it up right now - I should be studying for my midterm) but I can relate to the video through my understanding of the spectogram. nice job.

  • thanks. glad someone actually took time to say something positive about this piece. this isn't meant to be a physics or science lesson, its art. however, if you had to break it down. longitudinal in reference to frequency of pitch and transverse in reference to color and image.
