SANGRE DE DRAGO "Natural Healer"
http://troy.amazonherb.net/Sangre-de-Drago-Products.aspx
The Rainforest Super Antioxidant Promotes Natural Anti-Aging Processes in the Body
Rich source of proanthocyanidins*
High antioxidant activity*
Promotes collagen production and skin health*Mechanism of action: The rapid coagulation of the blood is due to Sangre de Dragos ability to co-precipitate with proteins and other components of the blood and underlying tissue. The healing properties of Sangre de Drago have been linked to the presence of a compound called taspine.
A recent scientific study revealed that nearly 90% of dried Sangre de Drago sap was composed of one of the most potent antioxidants, proanthocyanidin, also known as Pycnogenol® and grape seed extract. This strong presence of antioxidant activity may in part explain the effect of Sangre de Drago on colitis and other digestive disorders, by reducing inflammation in the intestinal mucosa. The high concentration of bitter bioflavonoids proanthocyanidins are bioflavonoids- in Sangre de Drago may explain its action of intestinal parasite. It is also noteworthy that a U.S.-based pharmaceutical company has developed two pharmaceutical drugs that contain antiviral constituents isolated and extracted from the bark and resin of Sangre de Drago.

CHANCA PIEDRA "Stone Breaker"

Chanca piedras traditional uses for kidney stones and gallstones have been validated in various studies in which a chanca piedra extract exhibited a potent inhibitory effect on kidney stone formation. More specifically, chanca piedra extract was shown to reduce the size of calcium crystals and to prevent aggregation of calcium crystals. By doing so, chanca piedra acts at the initial stage of crystal formation, keeping crystal formation at a size that promotes easy and painless elimination. Furthermore, alkaloids were also identified that had the property of specifically relaxing the smooth muscles around urinary and biliary tracts, facilitating the expulsion of stones without pain. One European study suggested up to 94% effectiveness in eliminating kidney and gall bladder stones.
Much attention has been drawn on chanca piedra in the early 1980s after the report of its beneficial effect on hepatitis B. Subsequent studies provided mitigated results, probably due to variations in strains, origin and process of extraction. However, in 1992 a Japanese group discovered that a simple water extract of chanca piedra contained a compound able to inhibit an enzyme called reverse transcriptase. Reverse transcriptase is an enzyme involved in the process of virus replication.
