I'm generally a guy of the liberal (US lib) persuasion, but I don't know why liberals in general are so careful with standing up to what is essentially a totalitarian, fascist belief-system. Be it Islam, Christianity, , Nazism or Communism (in it's applied form). We need to fight these dogmatic, often evidence-free beliefs, with liberty, free speech and humanistic philosophy.

Well, that's the plan anyways.

i will never sign up for a system where the punishment is harsher to the original perpetrator than the offense was to the victim of the original offense. while i'm at it, i'll go ahead and come out generally opposed to any system that punishes victimless crimes--all too often it's a slippery slope to legislating morality.

the biggest myth in history is there are moderate muslims, where are they when someone is stoned, or beheaded? i never see them in the news protesting in large numbers against the "Radical" muslims, where are you are you afraid to speak against them? please give me an answer

and to be fair calling Saraj Wahaj the imam of America is super funny. u gave this do way to much credit because he doesnt have a huge following like that. his mosque is in a poor area & although the immigrants like to have him do fund raisers in the suburbs to rally their young to support beautiful new masque in all white neighborhoods they dont come to the inner city to return the favor & help out his community which is a major sore spot between the muslim sects.. so dont give him to much time

The problem isn't the teachings themselves, but the underlying dogmatic thought system, that allows for potentially dangerous ideas to be promoted uncontested.

One thing is that a text promotes horrendous acts, another is that people are unable to object to those ideas, because of their dogmatic beliefs.

For instance, how can you justify a death sentence for someone who changed their mind (apostasy in Islam)? It's absolute lunacy for a victimless crime.

I wouldnt even say Islam is the problem More like Hadith is the problem. U can find all sorts of bafoonery in Hadith that completly contradics Quran. Quran is boring most muslims know no more than 2-4 short verses to pray with but they know tons of Hadith each different or used according to culture which is a recipe for destruction. no wonder Muhammed shunned anyone who tried to write stories about him for fear that pll would lie. boy did he see the writting on the wall or ?
