GTA on Horseback - "Gun" gameplay

Gun was a western game utilizing the GTA style of gameplay. This was a fun game as very few are set in this era. Considering this game is now in the bargin bin or even free from places like Fileplanet's Hitpoints it is worth checking out.

@TheOnenonly313 No you can not change outfits or call the horse. You can take any horse you want though. This game is before that kind of RPG elements. This is 6 years old now.

ATTENTION - This game has NOTHING to do with GTA, no similarity what so ever! Fuck if I know why so many idiots call it a western GTA. It's not "open world", the gameplay is completely different, the looks of it, everything...

@Skoshtwo Have you played the game? It IS an open world game, you can do the missions in any order you want and you can explore inbetween. No one said it had anything to do with GTA, only that it had similar game play. besides that, the video is 3 years old.

@johnc425 Gun came out 1 year after RDR, but RDR didnt come out on the PC so it is irrelevant.

I only play on the PC, i hate consoles.

@TheWorldinProgress I get where your coming from. You could get more into the "Wild West" setting with GUN and Revolver, but not so much with Redemption. Maybe Rockstar wasn't happy with the results they got with Revolver, and tried to different concept with Redemption?

@Athena908 That's all true. Very true, but most of RDR is still in the wild west, either in America or Mexico, so the atmosphere that should've been there wasn't there, but could've been there, you dig?

Red Dead Redemption just could've been so much more.. Why didn't they look back at Red Dead Revolver a bit more.

@TheWorldinProgress I think the reason this game feels more Western is because it takes place in 1880, while RDR took place in 1910/14, the time where "The Wild West was on it's deathbed". Plus RDR is more colonized, whist in GUN, there's only two major cities/towns with a fair amount of people inhabiting them.
