  • great video thanks for posting this, is the gas cylinder only held in the base by friction?

  • What about the T-15 torx bit? I guess if nobody noticed and just used the 5/32nd Allen it doesn't matter. Otherwise good video, clear, informative.

  • The video is great. One problem...if you had the chair a long long time, a rubber mallet will NOT work (after you use a BIG pipe wrench to take the base off) I used a 2lb hammer and had to beat the crap out of it to get the old one out. But all in all a GREAT video! Thanks!!!

  • Great video, thank you! I tried to get away with using a vice-grips instead of pipe wrench but didn't have enough torque. Borrowed an 18 inch pipe wrench from the neighbor and the cylinder came free without much effort at all.

  • Terrific video. I did it. But.....I had to pound the hell out of the wrench to get the old cylinder to give way. I torqued in one direction and shifted directions until it loosened up. Thank you!

  • Great video. I feel pretty confident I can do this myself after watching it.
