Canon 500d Camera
I wanted to try out timelapse photography to see what I could acheive, using an external shutter timer, I took 3400 frames of lowest resolution pictures (as I only have 16G card) - still the photos were excellent, pointed at the hills in Adelaide, with a 300mm zoom lense. I also recorded HiDef footage (720p) of the sky. This I later speeded up within Sony Vegas to make the clouds move faster.
Onvce I had the 3400 frames I processed them with Photoshop to give a more moody feel and shrunk them to 720 resolution (1280x720), I then strung them together as an AVI using virtualDub. (at 20fps)
With all the source complete, I knocked up a simple moody track and effects and brought them together in Sony Vegas.
Enjoy...
hey good job i liked it

Cheers m8, not going to do too many of these as the shutter has a limited life...hehe (certainly a way to remove a few thousand frames fo the 100,0000 life...

Yeah, bit of a pain if you like timelapse !!! I just saw theres a Firmware upgrade for the Camera out in the last month or two...might have to see what that does !!!
I'm actually a musician who plays with graphics...so all the musc is my own composition, or a recreated version of a few classics (if you look at my other pieces) ;-)

brilliant technique to use the 500d..did you compile the images in photoshop? or use video editing software?

Thanks... I used Photoshop to filter the picture and change it to png - I used virtualdub to compile the pictures as this sequentially loads the images - then an avi can be saved ...
