Okay, here is the video of the Notre Dame/Michigan State deal on the sidelines. Two things seem clear. Late hit. Off-setting penalties. www.irishblueandgold.com

  • not late

  • im a spartan fan, and i agree that trannon should have got penalized. but i still love the roar of the crowd after the ref called the penalty on Trannon.

  • humblephil: whether he was in or not its unsportsmanlike conduct because Stanton was just running out of bounds and the defender went in with his helmet. It like when a quarterback slides, it illegal to hit him.

  • It doesn't matter that Stanton was still in-bounds when Ndukwe hit him, what does matter is that Matt Trannon decided to go after a member of the Notre Dame staff on the sidelines. That whole situation was winding down when Trannon went after whoever that was. It makes sense that Trannon got a personal foul penalty, because he instigated the whole rest of the altercation. Good call! I love John L.'s reaction after the penalty especially since he was on the other sideline a good 50 yds. away!

  • Pause it a 1:13 and Ndukwe has already left his feet and Stanton's LEFT foot is still in-bounds. A bang-bang play, but it was NOT a late hit. Still a close call, but not a late hit. I mean, once he left his feet, he could not stop his momentum, so while he maybe hit him out of bounds, while he and Stanton were inbounds, the ND defennder was already airborne. That should have been a no-call, but there is no way the ND defender would get the benefit of the doubt in that situation, on the road.

  • Haha I love it! Notre Dame hits Stanton out of bounds, and then their coach yanks not one but TWO MSU players from their necks backward (Javon Ringer and Matt Trannon.)

That fat, vile, disgusting piece of shit Charlie Weis is a joke too. Why don't you go shout profanities at some more people and then eat some more you fat scum?? Have fun being 3-9 again this year...guess you can only win with Willingham's players huh? (Oh, and I use the term "win" loosely too.)

  • Notre Dame are a bunch of nazi's. they strut around like they are king shit. Plus I hate that fat fuck lying son of a bitch Charlie weis. Come to the LA coliseum you nazi domers and open your pie holes , see what happens, ZEIG HEIL NOTRE DAME, ZEIG HEIL ND, ZIG HEIL......

  • This whole thing was a bunch of crap. Stanton was hit late and Trannon went to go get his quarter back off the enemy sidelines. Trannon gets pushed away and his helmit is torn off. Yet he gets a personal foul as well. This didn't cause MSU to lose but it was a turning point in the game.

  • so wies lied to the refs

  • when wies went to the refs that he got slapped by a michigen player
