@Iraqisocialist ...It needs a balance of good solid social programs for everyone, equally and an avenue for entrepreneurship, education and freedom to do business with the rest of the world but at the same time not be exploited and bought out by the U.S. Challenging times ahead for Cuba but with the right leadership and right support from the people of Cuba, they could become a very wealthy nation not only socially but economically. They are a very strong and determined country.

@TheRedline2 exactly. Fidel is who saved Cuba or it would be like the other countries with homeless people and no education. Cuba before fidel had almost no elctricity, plumbing and other things and today it's better than america.

If you haven't seen Cuba you should go soon because when the U.S. finally does get in there the country will dramitcally change. All the ocean front properties will be sold to the wealthy. Land will be bought up and the locals kicked out, beaches will be sold off with land lots, The poor will be pushed into ghettos while the wealthy buy up the prime properties. The poor will be kept poor by the creation of personal debt and the wealthy will once again own everything worth owning.
