Drew has (unlike Bob) caught this trick and will label such an attempt as a "finesse spin". Any time a contestant tries to do this he labels it because that's the strategy he has noticed in three seasons.

As long as the wheel goes around at least once, there's nothing in the rules that says you have to keep the wheel going more than that.
