  • The art was made before the film. IT WAS DRAWN BEFORE THE FILM. They actually have shown older images before the dark knight and before anyone knew what the dark knight joker would look like.

  • I adress this in my rereview.

  • sory, but to me it feels like you'll got Heath Ledger to much in your mind when you revew this..:/

  • That's because this books Joker looks exactly like Heath Ledger.

  • I'll understand that:P but what if it's HL that looks like him?:P I don't think it really matters ennyway^^

  • Except that this book came out 4 months after the Dark Knight.

  • I loved how the color changed from paged to page. I thought it show cased how the Joker mood change constantly and how inconsistent his personality is. I love this comic and think its the best Joker done. If the Joker was in the real world this is how he would be. Psychotic, unpredictable, destructive force that doesent play by the rules. He will just has easy kill his own hitman as he would a cop, old lady, child, or pregnant women. Hes not interested in money or power. Just destruction.

  • This is probably my favorite comic. Great story and it ended very well.

The art is amazing. Being an artist I see the art in this "being a comic book" is almost revolutionary because you can see all the Jokers throughout his existence in this book. You can even see some of Cesar Romero's facial expressions.

You've got The Dark Knight on the mind my man you should not watch that movie for awhile and read it again.

  • I read it a while ago, and dont remember a problem with the art. Maybe its my eyesight, as i DO wear glasses- but i personally liked the art. Also, i wouldnt say because of the Leger film. All Azzerello did was give him longer hair, and make him look more realistic. But I do agree, apart from two face, this could be a good sequel, or even a side story! (About Croc, in one old comic, with original joker, they actually hint at working together, something like 'us kings together' or somthing.)

  • It was a good book! Not the convential Joker though, but very good

  • Does anyone know that Azarello got this version of the Joker from the 70's? In an early interview for Wizard after this was pitched but before it was completed, he said this Joker was inspired by the Engelheart/Rogers, O'neil/Adams Joker.

  • there aren't many books a million around, i've only seen two ever

  • Very nice review, man :)

Im definitely considering checking this out, because I definitely am a fan of Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker, and as you said, it would be cool to see a sequel (but not really) of sorts to that character.

  • Even Two face looks like aaron Eckhart in the Dark knight

  • what i liked about this graphic novel, is that it was narrated from the perspective of someone other than joker or bats. and that felt like the point of view of the readers(at least for me) when he said "there´s no cure for JOKER, only BATMAN(i translated it from the spanish version, i don´t know if it says that exactly).

  • @drakesnake09 yep
