Is there a way to save it in a way that it will replace the original picture instead of having to go back and delete the original?

@pakiprincess uhm, if you are using RAW, changes should be saved onto the original file. If you are using JPEG, then I honestly don't know :/

Question: what if you are possibly thinking of printing them? what should the PPI be?

@aforeverofsummer The professional print standard is 300ppi. Keep in mind that when you increase your PPI, your end result may become smaller. I'd stay in the 250-300 range.
