This is my Sable at Gingerman Raceway in June, 2005. It was very hot that day, and my straight speeds are slow, as compared to my April, 2006 speeds.

  • is that all stock?

  • The only things that I had upgraded at this point were the sway bars. Instead of the stock 21/19mm combo, I was running a 24/26mm combo from a 1989 SHO. The car is now running with the sway bars, aluminum subframe bushings, front strut tower bar, a big brake upgrade, rear brake bias plugs, and 16" rims with 225/55 Kumho Ecsta ASX tires. I was probably between 8 and 10 seconds faster through this course after all these upgrades, but I have no video of those runs.

  • I don't think I'll ever take my 96 Taurus on a closed circuit road course @ high speeds, but I do enjoy the way it handles on winding roads @ normal speeds...

  • Hi, hey I've never heard of Gingerman Raceway - could you tell me where it's located? Thanks!

  • Gingerman is FUN! I learned a lot from my driving instructor. I find myself saying tap.... gas, tap gas... tap ... oh shit.

I love hearing a 4 dr family sedan working like that.

  • Hey, we race at Gingerman all the time, and I can't remember the guy's name but for $50 he'll ride along with you in your car and teach you how to negociate the turns. He teaches race driving. Watching the video, it appears you drive the track similarly to how you drive on the street. You're not coming anywhere near reaching that car's potential by negociating the corners that way. Look him up, I did, he DRASTICALLY improved my driving.

  • Hey! You're from the TCCA!

  • TCCA represents!
