  • Very well played on the clarinet.

  • First of all, it's not a xylophone, it is actually a glockenspiel, or orchestra bells. And if you're referring to that person when you say "Try to play ALL the notes, not just the easy ones.", then you are wrong, because that is the exact part that John Williams wrote and she nailed it. It's true that the part was originally meant for marimba, but I'm guessing they chose to use the bells since it is a smaller chamber orchestra setting. Don't criticize percussionists if you're not one yourself.

  • good job, but it could be a tad faster.

  • I must tell you all, although I don't have any musical background, I believe this video is great. It's a very well composed track, and it's also performanced particularly distinguisged. It's an outstanding production, ladies and gentlemen. I'm glad I could witnessed such a performance.

  • Really good try by the clarinet, but it does sound kinda off by a tad on the pitch. The rhythm and all was really good though. bravo!

  • Nice try on the clarinet solo, I just finished learning how to play it, The triplet 16th runs are harsh, but a necessity. Also, the clarinet is quite poppy, with poor quality, work that out and you'd do much better. Very tough so I give you all kudos.

  • Beautiful stuff! The effect of John Williams' original score is achieved even with such a small ensemble. The clarinet really shines through. I think the glockenspiel is an interesting touch, but at times really distracts from the vibe. If a marimba is not on hand, I wager a triangle at the right spots would work better, or maybe even a xylophone. Anyway, still excellent work.

  • the xylophone is very distracting =P

i know for a fact this piece is very hard for the clarinet (since i'm trying to learn it myself) so good try. =) you proved the song well.

  • too bad about the xylophone playing through. It doesn't really add anything. Try to play ALL notes, not just the easy ones. Tone can be improved as well, because the violins sounds rather bad in combination with the rest. Try to play the cadenza a little longer, especially the longer notes, they really make the piece more attractive.
