It's a song that makes fun of Andrew Lloyd Webber and the romantic songs he composed
-
that sums it up!

i still find it hysterical to watch this vid...it's sooooooo funny how the song matches their lips moving. shows just how great monty python is and how realistic this song is. :P
-
That was very well-matched xD. Good job.
And yeah, I agree with Nightfall... I went with my grandmother to see Spamalot, and she hadn't seen the movie beforehand, and she really wasn't that crazy about it. Connected jokes are relied on, so if you walk in without knowing the backdrop, it's just not as good.

hahahah! oh man, i saw the musical last october, and when i saw them coming out on that boat with the little chandelier and the reeds, i almost fell out of my seat!

The chandelier crash at the end was perfect!

Considering they have a chandelier explode on stage during the play, I'm sure they had POTO in mind!

what song is it that it spoofs?

It's a spoof of probably any romantic number in most musicals, but particularly All I Ask of You in Phantom of the Opera. The stage version of this song in Spamalot has a little chandelier that falls.
