LEGO Mindstorms NXT, HOLO3CYCLE

HOLO3CYCLE is actually a "blind" robot since no ultrasonic sensor is attached on it. It is programmed to move randomly just for demonstration. The idea was based on the holonomic (or omnidirectional) drive concept.
However, the result is actually a synchro drive robot.

The attached Power Functions XL Motors are controlled via Infrared Link (IR Link by HiTechnic) by the Mindstorms NXT intelligent brick.

HOLO3CYCLE is consisted of:
1 NXT brick
1 NXT motor
1 HiTechnic IR Link
2 PF XL Motors
2 PF IR Receivers
3 PF Battery Packs

Note that actually only two PF motors are attached, due to lack of a third IR receiver. Since all wheels are always in parallel position, HOLO3CYCLE will also work fine with 3 motors. Of course, since no third PF motor attached, the third battery pack is actually empty and is placed only to achieve design uniformity.
