  • i am slowly building a carputer and i cant get the phone part to work,i have centrafuse and a tmobile wing.how do i get the phone to work?

  • Wow. I'm surprised people are still asking me about this project. Honestly, I don't remember what settings I used. I have the whole project saved somewhere on my computer and I'd be happy to send it your way if you'd like but it's been years since I've messed with this or even driven my car. (college)

  • i wonder if there is a way to do this on a pop out pioneer avic n4

  • I doubt it. I don't have one but I didn't see a way for to get touchscreen input on pioneer's website. Since it's 480 x 234 resolution, I'd guess it's using rca inputs which means you'll have to run a capture card which isn't hard but space might be an issue.

  • very nice job mate im planning to build 1 in a bmw e36 but a much cheaper version haha using a laptop with a touch screen thats placed in the dash and connected to the laptop using a customised cradle to hold the laptop and a jack to phono line so that i can listen to music threw my car sound system ..... also i see urs is bmw please can you tell me the model and were i can get an insert to hold the screen in the dash thanks alot and once again nice job man (Y)

  • Thanks. I don't have the model but the screen was a liliput. I got it for $100 off of criagslist locally. It's a very nice screen. The car was a 98 323 so e36 frame like yours. Fitting it simple. You have to remove your onboard computer and dremel off everything but the bottom/base of the sunglasses holder to have it fit. You can run your equipment in your glovebox but I'd test everything out first. once it's in, you don't really want to move it out. Lemme know how it goes.

  • does the computer have bluetooth..

  • hey mars. looks pretty cool man. like your FE. As sinuss, im also building a car pc and almost the only part missing is the software one, SPECIALLY the phone :D. Having probs pairing it. Can i have your SW setup? Yours looks pretty functional and easy to use, as i would like to have. Would like to know if you advanced with the project and included GPS. If so tell me about it. Thx

  • I would also like information on your setup. I am planning on installing a carputer and would love to be able to run your setup in my car.
