Amazon.com has an alarming amount of complaints of "no service for warranty" or other issues. Neat device, but it'd seem you're on your own if problems arise.
i bought one of these for my 2000 Camaro because the fuel gauge wasnt reading the correct amount. the chevy dealer was charging $100 to check the problem. i wasnt gonna have any of that so instead i bought the kiwi (and saved $10) knowing that a faulty fuel gauge doesnt harm my car's performance whatsoever. and now i got a cool meter to tell me how much gasoline i got in my car!
i have one. It works on my 09 civic. the problem with it is that the cord is way too long. It is sooo long that someone could hold the unit in my back seat. So it is hard to hide the extra cord. And the design of the case is terrible. It's light, the edges are all curved (so it doesn't mount that easily) and the cord causes it to torque loose when placed somewhere or velcroed on the dash. Overall it's a cheap MPG monitor that works, but could have been easily improved.
PLX do not answer any emails I send re the Kiwi, so I don't think I shall buy one from a Company that is to lazy to even answer here or their emails, to bad for them
i got this unit today and checked it out with my vehicles here in india and it does not work, all the vehicles r 2000 and above model, when the kiwi mpg is connected it shows CONN FAIL,
what does that mean , and how do i rectifie the problem,
dont suppose it would work on a Merc 190 (1987) Petrol car would it ?
