Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny is the latest in the series, but has it changed the series enough to warrant a purchase?

  • What's that sound-clip you used for the pedo bear? I've heard it every now and then, but I can never figure out where it comes from :P

  • @OmegaMetroid93 Quincy Jones - Ironside, most people recognize it from the Kill Bill movies.

  • i have no interest in this game whatsoever, but your voiceover is enough reason to at least listen to this video :P youll have to record some stuff for me sometime

  • Great review!

  • I can't wait for Rune Factory 4 to come out this summer.

  • @randomenvelope You know what? Whatever. Bye.

  • @Sigfee My situation might suck but your knowledge of these things sucks as well, so who are you to argue?

  • @Sigfee does your wii speak?

if not that's obviously not the problem, region lock is a lot more simple then that, lets just say I try to play a japanese game on my EU wii, Japanese games have region codes in them that are only playable on the system that will support those codes which can only be bought in the same region, so my EU wii cannot read the code of the japanese game, so if I wanna play the japanese game I need a japanese wii, got that?

  • @randomenvelope Oh I see. Misunderstood that part. But I mean like...can the Wii tell the difference between a U.S and European copy? We both speak the same language, obviously, so as long as the Wii can't tell the difference than it should be good. But then again, if it doesn't, then the region lock stops you from buying a U.S copy. Your situation sucks lol.

  • @Sigfee Do you know what region lock is? I said I can't order it online because of it, I've never heard of a European copy of tides of destiny, and if there is no European copy I can't play it with my wii, that's how region lock works, if there was some in the UK then I could get it, since UK is in Europe.

  • @randomenvelope Wow, then I feel bad for you. 99$? Jeez. I can get a brand- new Xbox 360 game for less than that lol. But yeah that region lock that you have really sucks. Did you try Amazon or eBay? That might be your only hope because this game has been out in the U.S for a couple months now.

  • @Sigfee thats 3000 kr in my country, I bought rune factory frontier on 9.995 kr ($99)

most popular games cost that much here, so that's why I am saying its expensive and then I mean where I live, Tides of destiny is not in europe because I heard they haven't contacted any EU companies to distribute it, I believe rising star is a European company, and it doesn't say rising star on the cover on this copy, and I really want it, but I can't even buy it online (region lock)

  • @randomenvelope I live in America, and this game is only like $30 here. I'm not sure how that translates to your money system but here that's really cheap for a game.
