The Queen and Prince Phillip leaving Buckingham Palace on 24th February 2009. Today they unveiled a statue of the Queen Mother, on the Mall, near Clarence House which was the Queen Mother's former residence.

@MrPiejacker I partly agree with you. A lot of our problems, specifically food and energy, are caused by politicians who seem incapable of taking any sort of bold action. Again though I cannot blame the Royal Family because they are, as an institution, there to make sure politicians don't go too far (ie, become tyrannical Mugabe type figures) and don't actually make government policies. The Queen probably has a busy itinerary, even more so for people like Prince Charles, who apparently on average does 2-3 visits every day to some school or hospital or charity or something.
