There are many wonderful organizations that help kids cope with cancer. I am sure that you have heard of a few of them.

Make-A-Wish is a huge one that everyone has heard of. Did you know that you can donate your Frequent Flier miles to them?

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is able to grant more than 7,500 travel wishes each year. Generous individuals like you have donated hundreds of millions of airline miles to help fulfill travel wishes. The Foundation estimates it will need more than 2.6 billion Frequent Flier miles to grant each child's travel wish this year.

This is my personal favorite. They are doing amazing research.

Honestly Children should never have to deal with such an illness.

Currently, there are stamps for breast and prostate cancer, diabetes, organ donation and hospice. Each year, the citizen's stamp advisory committee reviews stamp subjects that are submitted by the public. They have thousands that are suggested. They will only consider "events and themes of widespread national appeal and significance". It is quite possible that they do not know the widespread national significance of childhood cancer.

im skeptical about the freq. flier mile donations..

i see airlines are pushing the idea upon the non-profit by exploiting the good will of individuals, in order for airlines to hopefully negate their lost profits. Since the economy has been on a downturn many ppl are taking advantage of their freq flier miles instead of purchasing tickets. If airlines were charitable they would offer empty seats to the kids, and maybe they have. However this is a push to increase the rate of last minute sales.
