  • I Have been to one of her recitals, she is very pregnant at the moment, she did a wonderful job!!Sung beautifully Mahler and F.Poulenc!Probably I would not say her french is the very best, but to sing this language is not easy!Elle a été magnifique et quelle bonne humeur! Bravissima in verità!Molto piacevole!

  • I also was to the recital with Poulenc, Mahler, etc. and it was absolutely amazing! Her singing was wonderful and her acting was breathtaking.

  • Wow, she's aging fast... It looks like she's lost weight too. I have always liked her voice though. Interesting that she's wearing a dress when the aria is for a pants role. I'm sure this is some gala or something?

  • Yes, that´s Mozart Gala at last year Salzburger Festspiele...

  • Garanca's singing bores me to tears. I think Kozena shows a mastery of both technique and artistry with this aria.

  • The voice is in the right place, but the instrument is not a big one.Looks very tired, has a strange facial expression, but don't think it affects very much her singing. Ttongue is high, that's the most important. "Parto..."it's a challenge in recital, could easily turns very boring,U need at least 4 emotions:decision, love, rendition and some desperation. She looks the whole aria like a punished child. I prefer Garanca, but nice voice&lovely musicality!:-)

  • ah, now I understand you, interesnting point of view

  • Of course your voice will sound different if you do excessive facial expressions. Try to sing raising your eyebrows and your soft palate all the time, and then sing without doing nothing except opening your mouth. It sounds completely different.

I tried to listen without looking at her, and my opinion about it is the same. Her voice sounds strange because she does those weird things with both her face and larynx, and I can tell this without looking at her at all, just listening.

  • the voice doesn't change because of the facial expresions, try just to hear and not to see... I you still don't like it it's because you're listening with your eyes, or your feet

  • Brava, brava, brava! Grandissima cantante mozartiana. E grande arte.
