This is so stuipid! What does a stock Jetta 1.8T run at the track? 15's?? I ran a 13.6 with my STi STOCK, and that is at 1000 feet above sea level, converted to sea level it is about a 13.3. STi is faster, and your 5th gear is not just a highway gear, 6th gear is a highway gear.

i don't have a 6th gear, i have a 5spd gearbox. So your 5th is equivalent to my 4th. My revs were at 3200rpm. Please do us a favour, go on a highway, drive at 110km/h in 5th and come back to tell us what your Tach said.. Better yet dont! Let this go

yer but the STI sucks. its nothing specal at all. when you put it on the highway its just a 300bhp overweight family car.... think about it... STI only has good 0-60, 0-100 times because of its 4 wheel drive. put sti at any sea level will always suck when it comes to a highway drag. yer it can beat a JETTA.. but read this. i run 13.6 avg- on modded golf gti. stock turbo, standard exhaust. the car had lost acouple of pounds. runing at 216whp. and i have video to

@TruJdmWarrior sorry to say dude but JDM is the poor man's tuner car thats why jdm tuning is so popular, but drive around for a good while and see at all the rice buckets. Bet 1 out of 50 is actually built. Don't get me wrong man I love jdm and Id do a b18 turbo setup any day, but agree to disagree VW are well built and just as tunable as any other car out there.
