my whole thing is it costs wayyyyyyyy less to make an american car haul ass and even corner well then dumping several thousands into a low level import just to get it to do a good burnout....is anyone with me on this??...jees a used mustang gt is cheaper than a uses nissan "z" and you can do way more for cheaper on the ford (and im actually a chevy guy)

I love the sound of V8's,,, V12 too.

MY mate owns a SLR Torana.. and it is very nice :P however my 300ZX (V6) has a very nice sound to it also...

not taking either sides cause im just an automotive fanatic that loves his ZX though (would love a mustang :P).. and agreeing with kingchin0.. a stock ZX or stock Z can take stock V8's... the ricer remarks... in my mind.. if a car has rediculous body or interior work done.. and is under 180rwhp or cant do sub 15's on the quater mile..its a ricer!

size of the engine doesnt matter that much.... and the new c6 z06 handles way better than what you think and im sure the new zr1 will probably be better, track course the z06 keeps right up with all the exotic imports...and most of them is how many hundreds of thousands of dollars...

Plus, IMO American Muscle are really made for pure straight aways, whether people believe it r not, vette's handling freaken sucks big time! In a straight way drag, its pretty much whoever has a bigger motor wins, to put it plainly, although I have seen many SB beat BB, mainly because of the weight differences. I think the only scene in Tuner Ilike is the Drift scene, because it shows skillz and not just how fast and how much power your car has

Yea I agree, but I think it is not the price people look at when buying these cars, it is what they want more over the price tag. lol I thinkthe new Vette ZR1 Blue Devil would be a good match up for the new 2008 Nissan GTR

the vette is one of americas best performance cars... and so is the r34.., like you said lets say a ls1 m6 f-body vs. r34 stock for stock i think it would be a good race but also the r34 is way more expensive, stock c6 z06 is around the price where you buy a r34..
