Beard In A Box!

My final video project for Film 104 taught by Chris Jenkins.

I filmed all the video for this at the end of 2008, and had a slightly different final product in mind, but due to editing restrictions on iMovie, I was unable to do the very beginning (the mustache) so I just stopped... until 7/23/2011. Then I was able to import my footage to final cut pro at UCSB's Kerr Hall editing lab and 25 hours later, finally finish what I started.

This is a short film, not necessarily a narrative, about a guy who couldn't grow a beard, so his friend Luke gave him the mysterious "Beard In A Box". Watch as he utilizes this awesome product, and enjoy the crazy editing, inspired by Tim and Eric, used to counter the amateur and inconsistent filming.

Special thanks to our teacher Chris Jenkins, without his teachings of cropping, keyframing, image layering to match them up, and other small but largely useful and important editing techniques.
And also to Cory Cullington for his tips and allowing me to stay in the lab with him till midnight the past two nights.

This video is dedicated to Richard Dunn for his great addition and shining moments on "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!", which it should be said that I absolutely LOVE that show and they are great influences! Hairy lipsssss...

This is awesome. I wish I could grow a beard like that. But throughout the video, I kept thinking about that south park episode where that kid shaves his pubes and gives it to Cartman.
