In the Summer of 2005 eleven actors from the HBO Deadwood series visited the real Deadwood, South Dakota. One evening, many of them gave impromptu performances upstairs in Saloon #10 in the Charlie Utter Theater. This a performance by Monty "Hawkeye" Henson, who played a character in HBO Deadwood called, of all things, Hawkeye -- the right-hand-man of Silas Adams, played by Titus Welliver. Hawkeye Henson was also a world-champion saddle bronc rider in the 70s and 80s who, along with fellow rodeo legend Gary Leffew, was originally brought on to the Deadwood set by creator David Milch as a consultant.
