@occidente Tony is not a skilled guitar player like say a Lee Ritenour or Eddie Van Halen, but he does things to make the guitar sound killer. Seeing him live you could see him working some tricks-even some attempted raking. You could see how Eddie Van Halen and Randy Rhoads had influenced these LA guitar players.
As the years went by, Tony really came into his own as a guitar player. He is not Phil Keaggy, but he is very very good (very under rated). He reminds me of Craig Chaquiço hot!
TIM BUSHONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHH YEAH! He's not only an amazing guitarist, but he's a great producer! I love work'n with him. Grave Robber has done almost all of our work with him.
The guy on guitar would be me- Tim Bushong. It was a gig that Tony just couldn't make, and so (again) I played in Guardian with no rehearsal! Ted K. from Tournequet called me the "stunt Tony".
The other time I played w/th them was in Brazil in Dec. of 1995- Dave's wife was due to give birth right then, and I had been mixing the band that summer and knew all the new material ("Buzz"), so I stepped in on bass.
@occidente I think Palacios is one of the better guitar players in Christian music. He can "fake" it better than anyone I have seen. Rocking guitar player!
This is what I call power!!!
