ROTK TV SERIES- EPISODE 42 (PART 1 OF 5)

Part 1 of Episode 42 in the Rotk Tv Series : After successfully obtaining the four southern provinces of JingZhou.., Liu Bei and his forces return and only to find out that Liu Qi has passed away. Lu Su arrives to pay a condolence call for the deceased Liu Qi, and enquires that Liu Bei should return JingZhou as since he once promised to return it only if Liu Qi dies, and but Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang gives another excuse to Lu Su in saying that the return of JingZhou had to be delayed again as once after they had obtain the lands of Sichuan, and Lu Su is then made the benefactor of their deceision. Shortly after this.., Liu Bei is sadden by the sudden death of his first wife Lady Gan. At Chai Sang.., Zhou Yu is angered and informs Lu Su that Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang are just giving another excuse to delay the return of JingZhou. Hearing that Liu Bei's first wife Lady Gan has just passed away and that Liu Bei is sure to re-marry again.., Zhou Yu then attempts to come up with another plan to force Liu Bei to return JingZhou by inviting Liu Bei over to Nan Xu for a marriage alliance with Sun Quan's younger sister Lady Sun, and that Lu Fan will be the matchmaker for this job. As Liu Bei is saddened by the sudden death of his first wife Lady Gan.., he is then received by Lu Fan in saying that he should go over to Nan Xu for a marriage alliance with Sun Quan's younger sister Lady Sun, and in turn.., Liu Bei, obviously knowing that it was another one of Zhou Yu's schemes to force him to return JingZhou, is initally reluctant to go as due to him being of a different generation gap with Sun Quan's younger sister, and but is assured by Zhuge Liang that he will be escorted by Zhao Yun and his matchmaker and advisor Sun Qian, and that the pretence of the marriage alliance scheme would eventually turn out to be a real one, and Zhuge Liang then offers 3 safety silk bags for their journey into Nan Xu. Arriving in Nan Xu.., Liu Bei visits Qiao Guo Lao to discuss about the marriage alliance, and Qiao Guo Lao being unknown to this, informs Sun Quan's mother Lady Wu about the marriage, and Lady Wu, being shocked and angered that she is kept in the dark, enquires her son Sun Quan about the matter and why is he doing this to Liu Bei and his younger sister Lady Sun as for the sake of demanding the return of JingZhou. Lady Wu eventually enquires on whether accepting or not accepting Liu Bei to marry her daughter will be up to her final deceision...

To be honest...i've come to respect Cao Cao far more than Liu Bei. At their core they're basically the same: ambitious, crafty, and intelligent. Liu Bei, however, hides his ambitions behind a facade of justice and right. Cao Cao, on the other hand, is not afraid to do whats necessary to end the chaos. Ruthless he may be, but there's certainly something to be said about a man who starts as a fugitive and ends up with half the empire in just over a decade.
