Im hearing this for the first time, and I like it. It was sampled by Ice Cube in "Don't Trust 'Em"(1992). Much of Steely Dan's work has been sampled in hip hop over the years.

Denny said that this is his favorite solo from The Steel. Although he said this, he is terrified that "a colored man sampled a song I worked on". I've met Denny before as he's my neighbor's cousin, and he's a nice guy, but he's quite racist. I respect him as a musician more than a person
