Asha Tank - Snake Dance, NYE 2008

My first ever snake dance on stage with Sheba (Guyanan Red Tail Boa Constrictor, almost 7ft long).

Performed at 'From Dusk Til Dawn' themed "Devils Night" event (www.devilsnight.info) in Stoke-on-Trent, on NYE 2008.

That was really cool :) I love that dance and that movie....

I would say though if you do this again maybe you could put more of yourself and your personal dance moves into it. The original looks great because of the camera cuts and the attitude of SH, but the actual edited dance is kind of boring as dances go.

I am not sure the snake would like shimmies though :)

yep, definitely - I have other (actual bellydance) routines with my snakes too, just haven't filmed them yet. the snake is always the lead dancer though so less spinning and shimmies and more following what the snake is doing for that.

this particular dance was at a 'From Dusk til Dawn' themed event though so had to be more similar to the movie routine, definitely not as much fun (or interesting) as bellydancing!
