  • @roguerep... no he is no gimmick for sure.. I like rush alot.. basically i was referring to the video " amazing bass solo" it wasnt to me at all... geddy is no joke.. just a different type of bass.. all bass is good.. some better than others ! like women !! lol ... be well my friend

  • @SuperK9111: And Jaco Pastorius, Abraham Laboriel, etc. but u make a good point. But it's unfair to compare different music genres. Rush is heavy prog rock, while you're talking mdoern jazz/fusion, funk, & contemporary classical. I'll bet if Geddy were in a jazz outfit, he'd hold his own. U do agree he's no gimmick, right?

  • wow... how imprseeive.... NOT.. geddy lee not even on same earth as marcus miller, larry graham, vic wooten, vail johnson, verdine white, stan clarke.. to name a few... lmao.. whatever// awesome solo what a joke

  • @enhalantabuse Victor Wooten would DESTROY them bo... no wait.... XD

  • That's one sick bass sound, Geddy rocks.

  • @negtype13: That's right! And sample pedals too!

  • @RogueReplicant

Don't forget also playing pedal synths and bass pedal synths, etc.. while still singing on top of ALL of that!

That ALONE makes him the Greatest!

    Geddy TRULY IS GOD!!

    RUUUSSSH!! \m/ >< \m/

  • @noobtuber1983: No way. While I admire Entwhistle (RIP), Geddy Lee is at least as good a player as him. Geddy Lee is no gimmick; he's been writing and performing progressive rock with a top-tier band (Rush) for 40 years now. His bass playing has inspired generations of musicians. Oh, and he also sings while playing complex basslines and bass chords.!

  • @osuralie: It's called "Driven", from the live Rush in Rio DVD. Also check out "Leave That Thing Alone" from the same album.

  • @lisaandarron internet tough guy alert.
