That dude is like, my Representative, dude! Hi, Jay, always standing up for Washington's 1st district! Actually the 1st district is pretty cool, it's where Ken Jennings from Jeopardy was born.
It's a YouTube world and I gaurantee you would have plenty of videos and artist submissions for the contests through Pandora-dot-com to qualify for the best TV show ever! MTV sucks now and everybody knows it. Give us something to watch. Give us Pandora-vision.
The genius in American Idol is not that Simon Cowell is finding any talent in America. The genius is that we all know the artists' names. The real reason the establishment is fighting you is because their way of doing business is spending gobs-of-millions-of-money to promote their stinking sell-out artists.
What do college radio stations pay to play songs? What do NPR or public radio stations pay to play songs? These are both comparable outlets to your new technology in that they both introduce an avenue for unknown bands.
Which by the way, here's some unsolicited marketing advice. Start a cable-TV station!
