Northstar Basic topic 'Netiquette' English speaking

14 June 2008, students from HCMC Vietnam took part in an exercise involving the use of a dialogue sheet. Topic based off Northstar Basic text.
The topic was 'Netiquette' or 'Network Etiquette'. The dialogue sheet allows students to role play a situation, whilst selecting a variety of different ways to express their opinions.

The dialogue sheet also included a sample email containing various faults. One student identifies certain faults and makes suggestion to the other student to improve the email.

Students were given about ten minutes to prepare for the exercise. It is a basic 2 x page dialogue sheet and added to the lesson to reinforce some language used in the lesson. Also, the students can take the sheets home and read them again/practice with others etc.

The exercise was carried out towards the end of the class after the topic of Netiquette was discussed at length.

This class is at Basic level (grades start from Introductory, Basic, Lower Intermediate and Intermediate). The students in this class display a lot of enthusiasm and willingness to apply themselves each lesson.

This recording will hopefully be used as a reference point by each student to gauge their current development in English learning. Well done Academic English 4 students!
