actually 1000 abralon creates less friction that the o.o.b finish, and polishing the ball just creates more length

i don't think that it hooks more with high gloss , cause brunsnick is targeting his breakpoint on the fifth board. with high gloss your ball goes longer and compensating the length of the ball with hg is to go left.
