In 1 Samuel 6, the Philistines have captured the Ark of the Covenant, but the Lord's hand is heavy upon their cities (inflicted them with tumors and pain). Their elders use Egypt as an ex. about the Israelites God.
1 Samuel 6:6
"Why do you harden your hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh did? When he [a] treated them harshly, did they not send the Israelites out so they could go on their way?"
If God used only the Pharaoh it wouldn't be remembered, but the whole empire? They'll remember that.

why punish the innocent and NOT the pharaoh?
why murder babies and not the pharaoh??
where is the love?

No you don't understand.
Ever since Moses turned his staff into a snake he asked Pharaoh to let God's people go. Pharaoh refused. Each time Egypt was visited by a plague Moses asked Pharaoh the same question. After the Plague of Frogs (2nd Plague), Pharaoh said he'd let the Israelites go, but once Moses & Aaron took away the frogs Pharaoh's heart hardened again. The plague could have stopped after the frogs. He lied again at the 4th plague. His hardened heart let Egypt suffer the 6 more plagues

Read the Bible Which passage does it state that Noah slept with his daughters? Noah had a wife and 3 sons (Shem, Ham, and Japheth whom they each had wives). I want you to tell me which passage of Scripture states that Noah slept with his son's wives. No Scripture claims Noah "knocked them up."
Ham's offense was VERY severe. Your in the 21st century mindset, but you fail to consider that in ancient times such crimes as dishonoring the father resulted in death. Noah cursed Ham for his disrespect
-
"Noah cursed Ham's descendent's"
thats his own kid! he banished his son because his dad got drunk and ran around naked. this offence was SO severe that all of hams descendants will be punshed forever and ever.
noah also got drunk and slept with his own daughters (and knocked them up) but i guess thats acceptable behaviour for your god.

i understand the story. im curious how you might feel if your kids were murdered because your countries leader made choices your god didnt approve of?
would you fall to your knees and give praise to your god?
would you sing to the heavens after your innocent children were slaughtered?
im amazed that the ONLY recourse your god had aginst the pharaoh were the plagues and murders of the innocent, and not on the countries leadership.
this story is just as foolish as the flood.

Noah cursed Ham's descendent's, who are the people of Canaan. The Canaanites became known for their many acts of sexual immorality. This all stems from a son showing no respect towards his father. He was cursed by his own sinful nature. Noah was a righteous man, but he wasn't perfect, he was human.
"There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins."
-Ecclesiastes 7:20-
The only perfect human was God's Son, Jesus Christ, b/c he commited NO sin, while on Earth. Shalom

Pharaoh refused to set the Hebrews free despite the warnings from Moses.
The Plague on Livestock & The Plague on the Firstborn (5th & 10th plagues) are the only time the animals of Egypt die. However none of the Israelites' livestock died. (Exodus 9:1-7).
The pharaoh knew the firstborn would die if he didn't free the Israelites, but HIS pride wouldn't falter and he let the firstborn children die. The people of Egypt suffered b/c of the Pharaoh's PRIDE.
Read (Exodus 11:3) & consider that verse
-
oh yes. this is where god murders innocent first born children and kills all the animals of egypt two or three times.
good bedtime stuff for the kids!

"Ham saw his father naked and...he laughs at his father."
so he should be kicked out of the only family left on the planet...again, your god knows how to pick a winner!!
