  • seems to me the balance was off a bit... make sure the static balance is good and the droptime is about 2 seconds....:).

  • try walking with it without having your hand on the sleds post and see how it looks.

  • Thanks, I'll keep practicing, and make more films. And I am trying to extend my 8' crane to 16'. It is really difficult, but worthy.

    I saw that you also made interesting films, let's have fun with film-making.

  • Hm, those rigs don't seem too bad. I like how the arms are really small. I've operated one of the cheaper Glidecams, and the arm was humongous! I found plans on the internet to build a full steadicam rig so that's what I mostly use. It's not too bad. The biggest flaw is that it can only take up to a 12 pound camera (though I only have the springs to take a 5-6 pound camera). Good luck with everything. Steadicams rock!
