only that he`s not performing spiral on that video (watch his fingers) ... it`s just spiral exerpt thrown over the clip, has nothing to do with each other exept both is vangelis ...

Which means: The original clip was silent. But i'd rather slam my head against a wall than watching or showing a vangelis clip without any audio.

But I still think the title of the video should be changed to something like "VANGELIS - Spiral (clip with VANGELIS in Nemo Studio)" or something like that. Because even if you read the description, the 1st impression you get when you hear the video is : "shit, I've been fooled by the title"... Good choice of music though (one of my favorite pieces with "Chariots of fire" and "Memories of Green")

@synthpro :-) All right. But today it is speaked a lot about the quality of sound (like Vangelis does himself). However if you pay atention to he musical history you can see the main point ( join, of course, to the sounds) : how the relations between the parts of the musical work can to give for the listener an idea, can it excites an emotional state. It is called COMPOSITION. Here the problem is not simply making sounds or put, merely, sounds with sounds; is question of esthetical logic.

@chestertonnable I agree with you 100%. The instrument does not make the musician, but I look at different synths like guitar players look at different guitars. each synth has something different just as each guitar has a different color of sound.
