A visit to the Toronto Railway Heritage Centre. Part 1 5/24/2010

Taken on Victoria Day Monday, May 24, 2010 I biked down to the John Street Roundhouse with my dad to have a look at this place for the first time. In this part 1 you will see a 1948 CP Rail Baldwin DS4-4-1000, a 1944 CP Rail class DS10-b switcher, a 1938 Reinhart Vinegar RVLX wooden vinegar tank car, a 1931 Canadian Pacific "Jackman" sleeper, a 1942 Canadian National Railway U-2-G 4-8-4 steam engine beside a 1953 Canadian National Railway GMD GP7 with longer video footage, a 1950 50 Ton Whitcomb Centre Cab Switcher, again the 1944 CP Rail class DS10-b switcher, again the 1948 CP Rail Baldwin DS4-4-1000, the Toronto CN Tower above the Canadian National Railway U-2-G 4-8-4 steam engine beside the 1953 Canadian National Railway GMD GP7, the once called "coaling tower" for the steam trains now a Leon's coaling tower with the view of the Toronto Skyline with again a 1931 Canadian Pacific "Jackman" sleeper coupled to the 1950 50 Ton Whitcomb Centre Cab Switcher, the Rogers Centre which was called the Skydome (the way the stadium name should've been kept but Rogers bought it and renamed it to the Rogers Centre -.-") where the only canadian baseball team play: the Toronto Blue Jays :D, the Steam Whistle Brewing company, the crossing gates for the miniature train that you can have rides on both steam and diesel type with great horns and whistles (sucks that the gates don't go down though when the train is about to pass the crossing but the miniature train) :( and finally, the station platform with the miniature water tower (which is completed today but I got footage of it in progress!) near Roundhouse Park where people get on and off the miniature train ride. Actually the people get on at the station but when the ride is over the people have to get off before the station :P Thats all for part 1. Stay tuned for part 2 the last part. Enjoy! :D
