GoPro HD vs Contour GPS Video Quality Comparison on Motorcycle

Basic video test of GoPro HD vs. ContourHD. Visit http://cyclebots.com and get a free 32gb card with purchase of either camera.

Basic freeway shots done with a handlebar techmount. Will do follow up test as Contour seemed to shake a lot. Gopro was also rattling against mirror. Which do you think is better.

@Montu4g63 Yes, the Gopro must be too far away from the handlebar, the Contour was shaking quite a bit too, I think the mount I was using was a bit loose. It will be interesting to see what the contour plus does with the external mic.

Like the audio on the Contour...but, the picture on the Go Pro is better. The Contour also shakes a lot more. Was it just a mount issue?

Does the Contour tint the video, it seems to have a bit of an orange hue.

The GoPro is a lot clearer in terms of color.

You can get rid of that clicking sound on the GoPro by using that little rubber doohickey that comes with the mounts. It's a horse-shoe shaped piece of rubber that you wedge in to the clasp once it's attached to the sticky pad mount.

Which Contour GPS firmware were you using? I believe with the latest (1.16 as now) the GPS is performing alot better now...
